Providing support for community projects

Boden Community Support Scheme

Boden Group is committed to supporting the communities in which we operate and to providing social value to local organisations, groups and charities.

We have launched the Community Support Scheme to enable us to provide real and tangible support to local organisations. Under the Scheme, we provide staff time, equipment, and resources to support local communities within our operating areas. This scheme is designed to enable local charities, community groups, and organisations to complete small-scale projects or tasks they would otherwise struggle to achieve due to limited resources or funds.

The Scheme’s Objectives

We support projects that meet our objectives to:

  • Enhance the well-being of local communities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives.
  • Promote the company’s values by giving back to the areas in which we operate.

For full Scheme Terms and Conditions please see here.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

  • Charities, non-profit organisations, schools, and recognised community groups (formal charitable status is not required).
  • Groups operating within Boden’s geographical service area.
  • Organisations that can demonstrate a lack of financial or practical means to complete the project independently.

How does the Scheme Work?

The first step is to apply by completing our application form, which can be found here. Before you do this, make sure you have had a look through the Scheme Terms and Conditions so that you understand exactly what we need from you. You can find a copy of these here. Make sure that you submit your project at least 4 weeks prior to the proposed start date.

Once we have received your application you will receive a confirmation of this within 5 working days

It may be that we require further information from you, or want to arrange a site visit. If required we will be in touch to arrange this. If no further information is required, and if your project is successful, then we will be in touch to confirm this within the next 28 days. Unfortunately, due to the vast number of applications we receive it is not possible for us to get back to all unsuccessful applications.

What is Boden's Geographical Service Area?

Boden operates across the South West and into Hampshire. Currently the Boden Community Support Scheme covers:

  • Bristol
  • Cornwall
  • Devon
  • Dorset
  • Gloucestershire
  • Hampshire
  • Somerset
  • Wiltshire

What Kind of Projects can be Supported?

We can assist with projects which fall within Boden’s capabilities, resources and expertise.

We also want projects that support our objectives, providing community enhancement, sustainability, or broader positive social impact.

For each individual project we will allocate up to £5,000 and 3 days of support to complete the task, so projects need to be capable of being completed within these limits.

    What Support can be Provided?

    The support will include:

    • Staff time and expertise
    • The use of company-owned equipment and tools
    • Small-scale material supply (where required)

Through the Scheme we can offer services provided by our skilled and highly accredited trade operatives. Our team includes electricians, fabric engineers, plumbers, gas & catering engineers, fire & security engineers and other multi-skilled operatives.

We can also provide our team of office staff to provide services such as cleaning, painting and groundskeeping.

How Many Projects can you Support?

The Community Support Scheme receives a high number of applications, and unfortunately only a limited number of projects can be selected for completion.
